Carl was born in Hull on 21 April 1955. His schooldays were spent at Hornsea on the East Coast. When his studies were completed his ambition was to enter the broadcasting industry.

He started his own mobile disco at the age of 16 and over the years has worked worldwide in Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Norway, Denmark, Israel and USA.

Carl has gained a wealth of experience in the music industry and has been involved in record promotion, public relations, agency management and has voiced many Radio and TV commercials over the years. Carl has a broadcast studio at home with ISDN lines.

Carl's broadcasting career began in 1974 with BBC Radio Humberside and has since included work for Radio Caroline, Radio Mi Amigo, The Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, The Voice of Peace in Israel, Viking Radio, MAGIC 1380 KSMJ Sacramento California, 99 WSFW FM Seneca Falls New York, Blue Danube Radio in Vienna, Austria, the satellite service The Super Station, 96.3 Aire FM, Hereward FM, Minster FM, Stray FM, BFBS, Home 107.9 and Garrison Radio, Radio Nova in Moldova, ALPHA FM and In Store radio stations ASDA FM, PC WORLD FM, TILES FM and 91FM Radio Atlanta in Spain.

Carl currently presents weekly shows for MAGIC 828 in Leeds, 99.8 KCFM in Hull and 5 shows a week for THE ALL NEW SPECTRUM in Spain, as well as freelancing for many other radio stations.
